Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival 2012
Australian writers Judy Nunn and Bruce Venables are headlining this year’s Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival, to be held from 4-6 May.
Both Judy and Bruce have had successful careers in television and film before turning their hands to writing bestselling novels.
This year’s Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival has a whole week of events, from Sunday 29 April to Sunday 6 May.
The fun starts with the opening of our Visual Stories exhibition of works by artists from the Augusta-Margaret River Shire from 4pm to 6pm on Sunday 29 April in the Foyer Gallery at the Margaret River Cultural Centre.
30 April – 2 May the Behind the Label children’s literature festival component for local primary school students runs at Margaret River Community Resource Centre.
Thursday 3 May there is A Taste of Poetry dinner from 6.30pm at the Cowaramup Club.
On Friday 4 May we have an ABC South West Radio outside broadcast from 10am to noon in the foyer of the Cultural Centre, plus workshops throughout the day and the Festival Launch at 6.30pm.
Saturday 5 May and Sunday 6 May are filled with entertaining and stimulating presentations and panel sessions featuring guest authors Judy Nunn, Bruce Venables, Amanda Curtin, Alan Carter, Mark Greenwood, Frane Lessac and others.
