Arts Margaret River manages the Shire of Augusta Margaret River owned Cultural Centre. This 350 (300 downstairs and 50 upstairs) raked seating venue can be configured for concerts, theatrical productions, conferences, and community celebrations.
Margaret River Cultural Centre celebrated its 25 year anniversary in 2008. It was designed by local architect Chris Willcox and constructed from some of the last woodfired bricks produced in Western Australia. The external flytower references rural flourmills. The auditorium features jarrah flooring and mezzanine balcony, in acknowledgement of our timber heritage. The Margaret River Cultural Centre is located a short walk from the main street and is a well loved civic icon having witnessed local theatre productions, touring shows and community events.
The Centre features a 350 seat auditorium, dressing rooms, commercial kitchen and servery and stage level loading dock. The foyer has a kiosk, a bar with a courtyard opening to the side and a box office.
